From Wikimedia. The original had numerous paint cracks and spots that were removed with Photoshop. The background was also had various spots and splotches that were removed with Photoshop to make the sides more uniform. I believe this was not done for show at the Louvre (it was a palace), rather it may have been made for display in an outlying office or province. This is based on the coarse brushwork in some places and the incomplete spokes in the lace-work of her ruff (partially filled in with Photoshop). There were blue spots by the top most flur de lys that were removed with Photoshop. The features in the lace also appear to have collected considerable grime with the passage of time, somewhat fixed with Photoshop. It still has cracks and flaws, just fewer and less obvious.
This is a more thorough cleaning of the original than the last image.
