1565 Diane d'Andouins (possibly), mistress of French King Henry IV, with her daughter Catherine by Sofonobisa Anguissola (Musée Basque et de l'Histoire de Bayonne, Bayonne France)

Diane d'Andouins (?) wears a conical farthingale with just about all of the trimmings, including an over-skirt that casts a shadow on the under-skirt and otherwise exactly matches it.
